I am a writer, author, and public relations, and marketing professional. My first book The Hidden History of Columbia County - NY was published in 2014 (Arcadia/History Press), and was a great success and it continues to sell. I'm a history writer for Main Street Magazine in Millerton, NY, and write weekly for Upstater.com. Currently, I am working on my second book due out in 2017 called Hudson Valley Curiosities. My blog is called: Columbia County Life where I write about extraordinary people, places, and events. I've written fiction, as well as nonfiction and love the art of the short story. My short fiction has been recognized by Writer's Digest.

In this role I served as the Director of Development and marketing for Millay's historic home, Steepletop, raising funds and the Poet's profile, and supporting the organization with marketing and public relations.
Corporate Director of Public Relations ~ Canyon Ranch Health and Fitness Resorts
In this position, I was responsible for launching the company's $40 million Lenox, Massachusetts, and overseeing the public relations work for the organization's flagship resort in Tucson, Arizona.
Director of External Relations ~ Austen Riggs Center
For more than 80 years, this private hospital existed without fundraising and marketing and then they hired me to create these two important departments. As a result of my efforts in six year, the hospital had a waiting list of patients, a $3 million endowed gift and was on the "Best Hospitals List" in U.S. News & World Report.

In this role, I filled 56,000 guest nights each year by launching new communications and media strategies.
